The regional discussion explored trends in tax audits and tax authority practice, areas attracting increased scrutiny from authorities, documentation requirements, the use of data and artificial intelligence in audit processes, and key case law insights and their impact on companies’ tax positions. A separate session focused on upcoming European Union and OECD initiatives, and the areas businesses should begin preparing for now.
