Description

Following the acquisition, the client required a precise and regulation-compliant purchase price allocation (PPA) to support the preparation of consolidated financial statements.

As part of the project, we worked in close collaboration with the client, conducting a detailed analysis of the company’s asset structure. We identified all infrastructure assets and their ownership, and performed in-depth valuations of specialised real estate and technological equipment. In addition, the value of long-term contracts was assessed.

Our Contribution

The Grant Thornton Baltic team applied a comprehensive and structured approach to asset valuation, with particular focus on specialised properties — including industrial buildings and facilities used for the treatment, processing, and regeneration of oil-contaminated wastewater and waste.

Our experts conducted a detailed market value analysis and also determined the goodwill arising from the acquisition.

Results

The client received a fully prepared, audit-ready purchase price allocation (PPA), encompassing the valuation of assets and liabilities as well as the determination of goodwill.

In addition, through close collaboration with the client, we carried out a comprehensive review and refinement of all real estate documentation, providing practical recommendations to enhance its quality and consistency, while improving overall data transparency for the future.
